You're So Golden (Globes)

Hey there and happy New Year readers,

It’s been a while, and while I’d love to talk about the holidays and winter break, there are far more important topics to discuss. Mainly, the first award show of the season: the Golden Globes. Here are my best dressed, if you care:

Rosamund Pike

  • From Pride and Prejudice to Gone Girl, to now Saltburn: Rosamund Pike always serves. She walked the red carpet decked out in Maria Grazia’s 2019 Haute Couture, with a veil in the dress’ same fabric by London-based designer Philip Treacy. The centerpiece of her look, the veil, was actually a last-minute edition to cover bruises from a ski accident! I’m very happy she’s healed, and even happier we got that masterpiece of a veil. Bonus: I adore this pink dress she wore on Golden Globe-Eve, big ballerina energy.

Hunter Schafer

  • Hunter, oh Hunter. She’s been blessing us with red carpet looks left, right, and center with the Hunger Games premieres, and her Golden Globes Prada look was no exception! She looks like an exquisite little jellyfish in her tulle ensemble and simple hair, simply magical.

Elle Fanning

  • God, I love Elle Fanning. She’s always on my best-dressed lists, and for good reason. I feel like she has a deep understanding and connection to her personal style because everything she wears is so undeniably her. This vintage Pierre Balmain dress is no exception, and combined with the hair and makeup, she truly looks like a royal. And because she’s Elle Fanning, and way cooler than we’ll ever be, she got a temporary tramp stamp for the look (because why not).

Julia Garner

  • Julia Garner, the Anna Delvey who stole our hearts. She looks amazing in this silver Gucci number, and the hair perfectly compliments the dress.

Ayo Edebiri

  • Ayo Edebiri, the woman you are. She looked perfect, I have no other words for it. I love that her Prada dress was cut off at the ankles, giving it a more youthful appearance, while still maintaining formality with the long train. Red is undoubtedly her color, and don’t get me started on the bob! Her bob is all I’ve been able to think about since Sunday, it’s perfect for her.

Carey Mulligan

  • Again with the bobs! Mulligan looked absolutely stunning in this vintage Schiaparelli dress, which showcased her features beautifully. But for me, her hair styled by Jenny Cho stole the show.

Keri Russell

  • Didn’t think I could love Keri Russell more, but apparently, I can. Jil Sander is a brand I adore but rarely see on the red carpet, and Russell did it more than justice. The white dress suits her perfectly, and the fringe is on trend for 2024. The chunky statement necklace and smudged eyeliner are the perfect accessories! Also, I’m living for these behind-the-scenes pictures. And take notes darlings, the key pieces of her outfit: fringe, eyeliner, statement necklaces. Sounds a lot like 2014 to me… and I’m not mad about it.
