Dear creepy and crawly creatures,
Halloween is a beautifully eerie, ghostly, sinister holiday, one that often haunts us with poor decisions of last-minute costumes. Deciding your costume on October 16 (if you're reading this the day it was published), is still dreadfully late to decide what to wear, but achievable nonetheless. If you still don’t know what to wear, here are thirteen classic, creepily chic costumes to wear this Halloween, or the next:
1. Joan of Arc: The French heroine of the 100-year war.

2. Swamp hag: Unearthly women, villains of any children’s storybook.

3. Ghost: A spine-chilling soul with unfinished business.

4. Fairy: Mythically magical folklore protagonist.

5. Black Swan: The passionately intense Odette, the protagonist of a darkly absurd ballet.

6. Shining Twins: The spooky figments of Stephen King and Stanley Kubrick’s mind.

7. Butterfly: The prettier, more avant-garde, version of a moth.

8. The Final Girl: The quintessential horror movie trope. She’s brave, determined, and typically covered in blood.

9. Pink Panther: An icon of all that is mystery, turn it into a couple’s costume if you can find an Inspector Jaques.

10. Belly dancer: Sexy, provocative, and oh such a classic.

11. Bunny in a hat: Adorable, endearing, and in search of a magician.

12. Mummy: Another modern classic.

13. Goddess: This isn’t even a costume, we’re all goddesses here.

Hope you find something you like, or else…
Love,
A witch
