Fashion Month Report you'll need.
In the blink of an eye, September has come and gone, taking the unforgettable fashion month with it. And really, in such a fast-moving world, who has time to review every single runway and decide what this year's trends will be? Apparently, I do, and here's my report:
Without a singular doubt, my favorite show this season was Dries Van Noten:

Closely followed, by the combination of ultra-feminine and ultra-masculine Saint Laurent:

The gowns at Alexander McQueen, Zimmerman, and Zuhair Murad rendered me speechless:

While I enjoyed some of the looks at Valentino, it is glaringly obvious that this is creative director Alessandro Michele's debut collection, Gucci's ex-creative designer. It was Gucci with a different tag. Michele might've moved houses, but the furniture is exactly the same:
I can appreciate a good stripe ensemble at Nicolas Ghesquière's Louis Vuitton, but I wasn't blown away:

I loved several of Peter Do's simple fabrics and designs:

And I laud the craftsmanship that went into Ludovic De Saint Sernin's leather-saturated collection:

Predictably, I adored Stella McCartney's bold draping and bolder cut-outs:

And even more predictably, the fringe and knots that adorned the Isabel Marant runway seduced me:

Now that I've made my opinion glaringly clear, here are the trends you can consider yourself one step ahead of:
The Boho Chic, Desert Aunt Revival
Boho chic style is making a comeback, with Chloé and Marant leading the charge. Find fringe, leather, lace up sandals, big ruffles, lace and crochet detailing in abundance this spring.

Where Draping meets Bubble
The silhouettes of the spring season are all draped fabrics and bubbled figures.

Show It, Don't Say It
Following last year's trends, sheer fabrics are still prominent. Just about every collection had a transparent aspect to it, whether in dresses, blouses, or pants.

Slithering Snake Print
This season's print was leopard (which I would argue is a neutral), and next season's is undeniably python.

Well darlings, there's your fashion month report: the good, the bad, and the beautiful. Talk to you next season!
Love,
Someone who really didn't have time to do this
